Arrowhead Stadium

Arrowhead Stadium guide

Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, opened in 1972 inside a sports complex on the east side of Kansas City, Missouri, next to the city's baseball park. It holds around 76,000 and is famous as one of the loudest outdoor stadiums in the world.

The bowl was designed for football only, so the stands rise steeply and close to the field from every side. The lower level sidelines are the best seats and the most expensive. The upper level is high but steep enough that the view stays complete, and the end zones of the upper level are where the cheapest seats are.

The stadium has no roof. In September, the sun on the exposed stands can be fierce, and in December and January games can be very cold, with wind chill that makes the temperature feel far lower. Seats in shade early in the season and serious layers late in the season matter more than anything else.

There is no rail transit to the complex. Nearly everyone drives or takes a shuttle, and the parking lots open hours before kickoff for tailgating, which is a central part of the day. Parking passes are sold separately from tickets, and leaving after the game takes time. PickStub is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with Arrowhead Stadium or any team that plays there.
