Las Vegas Strip Circuit

Las Vegas Strip Circuit guide

The Las Vegas Grand Prix runs on a street circuit laid out through the centre of Las Vegas, with a long straight along the Strip itself, past the casino resorts. The race is held at night, under floodlights and the lights of the city, which makes it one of the most visually distinctive events on the Formula 1 calendar.

Because the circuit is temporary, the grandstands and hospitality areas are built specially for the event and are spread along the course. Seats near the Strip straight see the cars at very high speed and the lights of the boulevard behind them. Grandstands at the slower corners give longer looks at the cars and more chances to see overtaking. Many hospitality options, both on the circuit and in the resorts that overlook it, come at a wide range of prices.

The race takes place late in the year, and desert nights can be much colder than visitors expect, especially for sessions that run late into the night. Warm layers matter more than at almost any other race on the calendar.

Getting around during race weekend takes planning, as roads around the circuit are closed or restricted and some pedestrian routes change. The monorail, walking and car services are the common options, and checking the route to your grandstand gate in advance saves time.
