Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez guide

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, in the east of Mexico City, is named after the brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, two of the country's most celebrated racing drivers. It hosts the Mexico City Grand Prix, which has become one of the most popular races on the calendar for its atmosphere.

The circuit's signature section runs through a baseball stadium in the infield, where the final corners pass in front of tiered stands and the podium ceremony takes place in front of tens of thousands of fans. Seats in the stadium section are the most sought-after on the weekend. Grandstands along the long main straight see the cars at their highest speeds and the start of each race, and the corners at the end of that straight are where overtaking is most common.

The track sits more than two kilometres above sea level, which reduces engine power and downforce and gives the race some of its character. For spectators, it means strong sun in the middle of the day and cool evenings. Hats, sun protection and a layer for later in the day are the practical advice.

The circuit is inside the city and well served by public transport: the Métro and Metrobús lines nearby are the easiest way in, as traffic around the circuit on race weekend is very heavy and parking is limited. PickStub is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with the circuit, Formula 1 or any race organiser.
