About Paris Saint Germain

The Parc des Princes is a rare thing among the stadiums of Europe's richest clubs: an old, enclosed, concrete bowl with a capacity of around 48,000, built right up against the Paris ring road. Its curved roof and steep stands trap noise unusually well, and on big nights it is one of the loudest grounds on the continent.

The two ends behind the goals carry the organised support, with the Auteuil end the home of the most vocal ultras. The long sides give the classic view, and the upper levels of the Paris and Borelli stands are the best seats for watching the whole pitch. Because the bowl is compact, almost every seat is reasonably close to play.

Demand is driven by two kinds of fixture. Le Classique against Marseille is the biggest match of the domestic season, and the knockout rounds of the Champions League have become the club's defining nights. Both command steep premiums. Routine league matches are more accessible, and they are a good way to experience the ground at a fraction of the price.

The stadium is well served by the Métro. Porte de Saint-Cloud on line 9 and Porte d'Auteuil on line 10 are both a short walk away. Driving is not recommended; parking is scarce and the ring road beside the stadium is among the busiest roads in the city. French clubs may check identification at the gate against named tickets.
