About Juventus FC

Juventus are the most decorated club in Italian league history, and in 2011 they became one of the first Italian clubs to play in a stadium they own. It was built on the site of the old Stadio delle Alpi, which had a running track around the pitch and a reputation for keeping supporters at a distance. The new ground did the opposite: it holds around 41,000, has no track, and puts the stands steep and close to the touchline in the English style.

That design is the main reason the stadium is worth visiting even for a low-profile league match. There are few bad seats. The front rows are only a few metres from the pitch, the upper tiers are steep enough to keep the view clear, and the bowl is compact enough that the far side never feels remote. The curva behind one goal is where the organised home support stands and sings.

Demand varies more here than at the English clubs. The Derby d'Italia against Inter, the Turin derby against Torino and the knockout rounds of European competition sell out and command premiums. Many routine league matches remain accessible, and this is one of the more affordable ways to watch a club of this size.

The stadium is several kilometres from the centre, served by buses and trams from the city and by a large car park on site. Allow extra time on matchdays, as roads around the ground slow down sharply before kick-off. Italian clubs require named tickets and photo identification at the gate, so the name on the order should match a document you carry.
