Club America tickets

América are one of the two clubs that every Mexican football fan has an opinion about, and they are the side with the most league titles in the country's history. The club's ownership and its long association with television made it the establishment team of Mexican football, and that is exactly why so many supporters of other clubs love to see it lose. Few teams in the Americas are followed as passionately, or opposed as passionately.

The biggest fixture is the Clásico Nacional against Chivas of Guadalajara, followed by the Clásico Capitalino against Pumas and the Clásico Joven against Cruz Azul. These matches, and the knockout rounds of the Liga MX playoffs, known as the Liguilla, carry the highest prices of the season. Regular season matches are much more accessible.

The club's traditional home is the giant stadium in the south of Mexico City that has hosted two World Cup finals. Mexico City sits more than two kilometres above sea level, so visitors coming from the coast may notice the thin air, and evenings can turn cool even in the warmer months. The club also plays friendlies and exhibition matches in the United States, where its following is large.

In Mexico City, the light rail line that runs south from Tasqueña Métro station stops by the stadium and is the easiest way in; traffic around the ground is heavy before and after matches. Mexican stadiums commonly require registration with a fan ID before entry, so check the requirements for your match ahead of time.
